Former VCU Police Chief William B. Fuller waived his trial by jury today at Chesterfield County Circuit Court. Fuller asked and was granted a bench trial on July 8, meaning that it will be heard before a sitting judge with no jury present. Fuller faces three felony charges: one for attempted indecent liberties with a minor and two for use of an electronic device to solicit a minor.

A VCU student is in custody after being charged with the murder of 24-year-old Jamall Holman. The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. on April 22 on the 2100 block of East Leigh Street. Police arrested Eric G. Driver Jr. and have charged him with second-degree murder.
