This weekend attracted thousands to the Byrd Theatre for the 16th annual VCU French Film Festival. The largest of its kind in the nation, the festival also is regarded as the most important French Film Festival in America by France's film industry.
This weekend's VCU French Film Festival provided moviegoers with hours of entertainment, but it was also the events that took place off-screen that truly enhanced the entire experience. From post-screening discussions with the directors and actors themselves for many of the films to allowing attendees to hobnob with one another over spirits and finger-foods, the world-renowned event pulled out all the stops.
The sixth annual VCU Dance NOW saw a successful run this weekend at the Grace Street Theater.
In conjunction with this weekend's Southern Graphics Council Command Print Conference, the VCU Design Center and Quirk Gallery exhibited posters from the Shahneshin Foundation's 2007 Shrinkage Worldwide Awards.
