Lawnmower used in border run

Two Chinese men have been arrested after trying to sneak across the border into Russia on a lawnmower.

They tried to tell border guards at the Slavyanka border post in Khasansky County in Russia's Far East that they had gotten lost while cutting grass.

Russian border police said it was not the first time they had had to deal with rogue gardeners from China.

A spokesman said, "We have issued a number of warnings to our opposite numbers in China, but despite that they seem to have no control over the apparent nomadic habits of their gardening nationals."

Lion found living in garage

A lion has been found living in the garage of a house in Rio de Janeiro.

Police officers found the big cat in the Brazilian city after complaints from worried people living nearby.

Neighbors in the neighborhood of Campo Grande reported hearing the lion roaring during the night.

Householder Jesus Teixeira told police the lion was called Baby and had been living with his family for 15 years.

He had kept the lion after he sold his circus but has now been told he cannot keep the animal at his home.

Teixeira told Estado de Sao Paulo, "I'm upset. I raised him. He is very calm and never attacked anyone. He grew up with my kids."

Designer creates wall of breasts

A Dutch designer has created a wall of fake breasts to help male shoppers buy bras that fit their wives or girlfriends.

Wendy Rameckers works at the Piet Zwart Institute for Retail and Design in Rotterdam, the Het Nieuwsblad reported.

"Most men have a selective memory," she explained. "They know all about their car, but never seem to know their wife's bra size.

"When trying to buy a sexy bra for their wife or girlfriend, usually they point to other women in the shop or, when asked about size, they say a 'handful.'"

The wall consists of rows of silicon breasts in all sizes. By look and touch, male shoppers can work out the right size, Remeckers said.

Lost dog's 30-mile trip

A lost dog found his way home after walking 30 miles in four days.

Remi, a Jack Russell, went missing when he went for a walk with his owner, Lee Evans, near the reservoir on Hiraethog Moors, in Denbighshire, North Wales.

Lee, of Abergele, in Conwy, said during the walk "he seemed scared by the turbines."

Lee searched for Remi and even distributed more than 50 posters in local towns and villages.

He had given up hope when Remi turned up on the doorstep, the Daily Express reported.

Remi had zigzagged 30 miles across North Wales, from the reservoir all the way back to Abergele.
